I grew up in a household in South DeKalb County (GA) with 2 parents that were entrepreneurs. I realized they not only had a lack of choices in professionals that looked like them but they needed someone to advocate for their economic interests. My parents wanted to feel comfortable with the professionals they were dealing with in business and feel they had an organization that understood the need for diversity in thought and experience.
I started Minority Access to Capital, Inc. (501(c)(3)) to tackle the issue of access to capital and to empower women and racial minorities. Like many of you, I have been blessed with a unique opportunity to educate and empower my community of women and minorities. I have learned from Dr. King that the fight for justice comes in many forms and uses many voices. I follow his example of what can happen when similarly minded individuals demand CHANGE in their community. However, we must do our part as a community to be PREPARED for when opportunities arise. Therefore I encourage us to #BeInTheRoom and #BeAtTheTable.
Since that time, I have become known as the Economic Justice Advocate and top consultant. Kendrick Advisory & Advocacy, LLC was birth to provide "hands on" consulting services to organizations that want to promote diversity in thought and experience, both for profit and non-profit, in political and business decisions.
